Meet Dr. Craig Spann, Owner

Dr. Craig Spann, Physical Therapist

Like most kids it was my dream become a professional athlete. I was lucky that I had a real talent for tennis and played at a high level in college. Throughout my tennis career I had struggles overcoming lots of minor injuries. Then every athlete’s worst fear became my reality. I suffered a severely herniated disk which basically put an end to my dream of making tennis my career.

I continued to work hard at tennis but eventually accepted that I would not be able to play at pro level. I was completely unsure about what to do with my life. I went on to finish my college degree and started work at a corporate job in advertising. I quickly realized that I would never be fulfilled doing this type of work. I always wanted to give back and help others. I couldn’t help but reflect on my injury and how much of an impact it had on my life. I had always been fascinated with the human body and I had an obvious love for sports. Suddenly I found my calling. I was going to become a physical therapist. I realized I could combine my passion for sports and healing the body to help people overcome and prevent injuries.

Physical Therapy has given me the ability to look back and know that I worked every day to change people’s lives for the better. I always think about if I knew back then what I know now, things would be so different. While I can’t go back in time and change anything in my life, I can give back all my knowledge to prevent others from making the same mistakes. Whether it is professional sports, dancing, yoga, hiking, playing with your kids or simply walking without pain, I want to give you the opportunity to live the life that makes you feel whole. My pursuit of the never ending body of knowledge, my love for what I do, and witnessing my patients get back to doing what they love keeps me passionate about my work as a physical therapist. It’s this passion which is why I try harder than anyone else to not only heal your pain but to identify the source and prevent it from coming back.

The human body has an amazing ability to heal itself, and no one knows your body better than you. My job is to give patients the tools techniques needed to heal and prevent injuries so they can live the life they dream of. In today’s climate we have more physical health problems than ever before with a simultaneous decline in quality of care. My philosophy is to provide personalized one-on-one care that will deliver results based on your individual needs. Together, combining my knowledge and dedication with your desire to heal, we can deliver the life you deserve. I am not trying to change the world, but I can try and change yours.
